The Stuarts returned to South Africa for their second safari adventure, this time turning the trip into a full family African vacation. Heath brought his family along with one goal firmly in mind – getting his son Noah onto some quality plains game while enjoying everything South Africa has to offer.
As always, the first morning started at the shooting range to get everyone comfortable with the rifles and settle into the African hunting environment. It did not take long for us to realise Heath had put in plenty of preparation before the trip. Noah confidently rang the steel gongs at 100, 200 and even 300 meters one after another, leaving everyone impressed and eager to get hunting.
With rifles checked and confidence high, we headed into the veld as the sun began dropping on the first evening of their South African hunting safari.

The next five days produced fantastic memories for father and son alike. Noah successfully hunted a management Springbuck, a stunning Zebra and a beautiful Lechwe trophy. Watching a young hunter experience the excitement, patience and respect that comes with African plains game hunting is always rewarding, and Noah handled himself exceptionally well throughout the safari.

Heath was not about to let Noah steal all the spotlight though. He added several outstanding trophies of his own, including an Ostrich, impressive Kudu, Black Wildebeest and a striking White Blesbuck. These animals will fit perfectly alongside the excellent trophies he collected during his previous South African safari in late 2024.

Once the hunting portion of the trip wrapped up, the family shifted gears and explored more of the Eastern Cape. The boys joined Jen for beach horseback rides while the family also visited a Big 5 non-hunting reserve where they enjoyed close encounters with Elephants, Lion and even the elusive White Rhino.

The sightseeing continued with tours through several century-old cathedrals and churches, offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region.
From there it was time for the second half of their South African adventure as they headed toward Plettenberg Bay and Knysna with tour guide Sam. The weather could not have been better and the family made the most of every moment along the famous Garden Route coastline.

They enjoyed a boat trip to Bird Island where they swam with seals in the cool coastal waters, zip lined through the Knysna forest canopy and explored old forestry trails on quad bikes. The family also visited a Big Cat Rehabilitation Centre and had the unforgettable opportunity to feed elephants up close.
Noah especially loved visiting Birds of Eden and Monkeyland, while everyone appreciated the beauty of South Africa’s pristine coastline, forests and wildlife.

From successful plains game hunting in the Eastern Cape to unforgettable family adventures along the Garden Route, this trip delivered memories that will stay with the Stuarts for years to come. It was a privilege to host them once again and we look forward to seeing them back in Africa for their next safari.
